Golfers and community champions are gearing up for an unforgettable day as First Choice Foods hosts its 3rd Annual Golf Classic on Friday, September 18 at The Ridge Country Club in Gilford. Every swing will make an impact on local families in need. Proceeds will benefit the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Fund and The First Choice Foods scholarship Fund.
Organized by Ken Choice, owner of First Choice Foods and founder of the popular Ellacoya Bar & Grille, alongside Office Manager Sarah Gurnari and her husband Jason, this year’s tournament promises high-value prizes and major local impact. Choice explains there is an exciting addition to this year’s event. Thanks to Irwin Motors’ participation, golfers now have an incredible opportunity to win a brand-new car with a Hole-in-One. One perfect shot is all it takes.
Choice is grateful that his restaurant vendors are supportive contributing an array of top-tier prizes and raffle items. This year they have a foursome to Wentworth Country Club, wine tasting gift certificates, Blackstone griddle, hotel stays among many other items. Participants could walk away with some bargains from the auction or even one of the top-tier prizes.
The tournament is one of those rare win-win propositions where participants have the pleasure of spending a day enjoying friendly competition, food from Choice’s restaurants, and the high-energy camaraderie of joining together to do something positive for Lakes Region families who are struggling. Participants will enjoy a memorable day with other local golfers while contributing to a non-profit that financially supports over 60 charities in the Lakes Region.
