Foster's Tavern Pub Mania Team Holds the 3rd Annual Bingo & Silent Auction Event on Wednesday, Oct 21 at Foster's Tavern
Updated: 5 days ago

Bingo and Silent Auction - Foster's Tavern Biggest Fundraiser of the Year- Do not miss it!

As you may know, we had planned to move this year’s event to the Alton American Legion to accommodate our growing crowd. Unfortunately, due to an issue with the state approval process and the event being promoted before final approval was received, we were notified that we will not be able to hold Bingo at the Legion.
The good news: the event is NOT canceled!
We’re bringing everything back home to Foster’s Tavern on Wednesday, October 21st!
Foster’s will be closing to the public at 4:00 PM that day so we can host the event privately.
Because of the venue change, there are a few important changes to your original ticket purchase:
• Your original ticket purchase will be refunded immediately. Refunds should reflect on your account by tomorrow, depending on your bank.
• There will no longer be a buffet. Instead, our regular menu will be available and food can be ordered directly from the kitchen during the event.
• Bingo will now be completely COMPLIMENTARY! We are still playing, but there will be no charge to participate.
• Seat reservations will be $10 per person. Because space at Foster’s is limited, we still need everyone to reserve their seat so we know exactly who is attending and don’t hold seats for people who are no longer able to make it.
A QR code is included below to reserve and pay for your seat.
IMPORTANT: When making your payment, please use the message section to include:
Your name + “SILENT AUCTION SEATS”
For example: Caitlin Sylvester – SILENT AUCTION SEATS
This will help us match your payment to your reservation and make sure your seats are properly accounted for.
Please keep in mind that telling us you plan to attend does NOT reserve your seat. We are happy to write your name down so we know you’re planning to come, but until your $10-per-person seat reservation is paid, you will be considered a walk-in and seating is not guaranteed. With our limited capacity, the only way to guarantee your spot is to reserve and pay for your seat ahead of time.
PLEASE NOTE: Seating will be family-style, so smaller parties will likely be seated with other groups. If you are attending with another group who purchased their tickets separately and would like to sit together, please reply to this email and let us know who you would like to be seated with. We’ll do our best to keep everyone together!
We know this is a pretty big change from the original plan, especially this close to the event, and we truly appreciate your flexibility and understanding. We have put so much into making this fundraiser happen, and we are determined to still give you an awesome night while raising as much as we can for the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Fund.
Same auction. Same cause. Same crew. Complimentary Bingo. New location. 💙
FOSTER’S INVOLVEMENT
Foster’s Tavern became involved with fundraising for the Children’s Fund in 2023, and in late 2024 we began holding Bingo nights as another way to raise money.
What started as a relatively small fundraiser has grown from the ground up into something much bigger because of the support we’ve received from our customers, local businesses, community members, and everyone who has donated, attended, shared our events, or helped us along the way. This event wouldn’t have become what it is without them.
Whether someone has attended Bingo, donated an auction item, contributed money, shared one of our posts, volunteered, or simply helped spread the word, they have played a part in helping us grow this fundraiser and continue supporting local children and families.
We are going to try our absolute hardest to keep parties together, but we unfortunately cannot guarantee seating arrangements.
If members of your party are purchasing their tickets separately and you would like to be seated together, please email caitlin.fosterstavern@gmail.com with the names of everyone in your group. I’ll do my best to make it happen!
Thank you for bearing with us while we figure out the best way to make this year’s Silent Auction Bingo bigger, smoother, and even better than last year.
